Inspired by the NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament, Challenge will have a bracketed competition format pitting team against team and school against school. This re-vamped format will evoke emotional pride from representing your school and will also truly pit Canada’s top marketing programs and schools against each other. Round 1 will be open entry to students nationwide who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Official Challenge Rules. From that point on, the top 16 teams will be selected by Nestlé Canada and put into a ‘Sweet Sixteen’ bracket. Following the creation of the bracket, each team will then square off against 1 other team to advance to the ‘Elite Eight’, another team to advance to the ‘Final Four’, and finally have a head-to-head showdown in the ‘National Championship’ round. At each new stage of the bracketed competition, competitors will be faced with a new deliverable building on their ideas from previous rounds and culminating at the Queen’s Marketing Association Conference in January.
